Shenzhen Bus Group Co., Ltd., found in 1975, is a state-owned public transportation operator. Kowloon Motor Bus (1933) (KMB), the longest-established and the largest bus operator in Hong Kong, is a major shareholder of SZBG. SZBG’s business includes urban public transportation, on-demand bus services, conventional taxis, ride hailing, intercity transportation, cross-boarder transportation, advertisement and depot building. SZBG is one of the largest new energy public transportation in the world and focusing its business in Shenzhen, Hongkong, Guangzhou, Huizhou and Shenyang. It is also the first and largest public transport operator to perform complete electrification in the world.
As of April 2018, SZBG has owned a total of 9.4 billion CNY in asset, employed 27590 employees, and deployed a fleet of 12275 vehicles. SZBG also used just over 1 million square metes of depots, owning about 30% of them. SZBG has also build a total of 92 charging stations with 1514 charging piles in them. At this scale, SZBG ranks the largest public transportation operator in the city.
In 2018, SZBG became a first committee member in China to join Union Internationale des Transports Publics and the Chairman of the Taxi and Ride Hailing Committee of UITP in 2019.
